Military units asked to brace for storm Nakri
PANO – Military units should prepare forces and vehicles for coping with the ongoing storm Nakri, the sixth storm to hit Vietnam this year.
The General Department of Politics (GDP) of the Vietnam People’s Army asked military regions 4, 5, and 7; Naval and Air Defense-Air Force Services; Border Guard and Coast Guard Commands, and other military corps to closely follow the developments of the storm to deal with each situation while ensuring safety for troops, weapons, equipment, and barracks.

The GDP also requested the relevant units to closely team up with local authorities and forces and other agencies to check facilities , inform and instruct ships to take refuge from the storm, and to evacuate local people from dangerous areas in need.
In addition, they have also been urged to maintain forces and equipment to support locals, overcome the anticipated flooding consequences, conduct search and rescue missions, and provide information to the media to disseminate the military’s participation .
