PANO - A mission from the General Department of Politics of the Vietnam People’s Army, led by its Deputy Director Lieutenant General Do Can, on June 18th inquired after the famillies of the missing troops in Hanoi in the crash of CASA 212 aircraft.

The officer relieved them and convinced them that the army is trying its best to search their family members.

CASA 212 aircraft with nine members on board lost contact in the waters of Bach Long Vy, Hai Phong city, on June 16th while conducting a search and rescue mission for pilot Tran Quang Khai who had been missing in SU-30MK2 crash.

The same day, the mission visited and presented a gift to pilot Major Nguyen Huu Cuong, one of the two pilots on the fighter aircraft SU-30MK2 which crashed into the waters of Nghe An province on the morning of June 14th.
