PANO – The Department of Logistics under Military Zone 7 opened a capacity building training course to raise professionalism for doctors and medical staff from military units to serve the coming enlistment drive of 2016, on February 17th in Ho Chi Minh City.

Accordingly, 100 participants from hospitals, medical companies, regiments, divisions, provincial military commands, and schools in the region will study responsibilities and missions of military medical stations, how to prevent meningococcal disease and other diseases, give health check-ups and tetanus vaccinations to new recruits, and provide them with methods to deal with accidental circumstances.
Addressing the opening ceremony, Senior Colonel Ton Huy Vinh, the department’s Deputy Director affirmed the importance of healthcare for recruits to help build their trust in their units. He asked the trainees to thoroughly grasp the provided contents, promote experience and knowledge exchange, heighten responsibility and medical ethics, and effectively apply acquired knowledge to provide good healthcare for troops.
