Meeting held to roll out GDP’s tasks for December
PANO - Given that many important events of the nation and military will take place this December, Senior Lieutenant General Trinh Van Quyet asked agencies and units to focus on celebration activities while continuing to complete their combat readiness, training and exercise tasks.
Gen. Quyet, who is Director of the General Department of Political Affairs (GDP), made the request at a meeting held on December 2 to review the GDP’s Party and political work in November and map out major missions for December.

Regarding November tasks, the GDP’s director applauded agencies and units for their close, serious, and effective implementation of assignments, including unscheduled ones.

This December, GDP’s affiliates should better their advisory role and coordinate with related forces to fulfill all assigned missions, especially ensuring solemn, significant, and absolutely safe celebrations of the 80th founding anniversary of the Vietnam People’s Army, the 35th anniversary of the Whole-People Defense Festive Day, and the 80th anniversary of the foundation of the GDP.

Other missions included instructions on preparations for Party congresses at all levels, study to popularize the Law on the Officers of the Vietnam People’s Army, and good organization of gratitude activities.
Gen. Quyet asked press agencies to pro-actively disseminate information about celebration activities and the military’s outcomes in task performance in 2024.
