During the meeting, General Giang thanked the VVA’s Central Committee and its branches for their continued cooperation with the MND and various agencies and units in the whole military in organizing activities across all fields. Notably, the association has contributed valuable ideas on military and defense policies issued by CMC and MND in building the military and strengthening national defense to protect the Fatherland.

The Defense Minister hoped that, in the future, the VVA’s Central Committee will accelerate information dissemination to help veterans and the public understand more about the military and defense viewpoints and tasks; mobilize them to pro-actively combat the strategies of "peaceful evolution," "self-evolution," and "self-transformation" by hostile forces, and resolutely defend the independence, sovereignty, unity, and territorial integrity of the country, while safeguarding the Party, the State, the people, the socialist political system, and the achievements of the revolution.

On this occasion, General Giang wished the leaders and members of the Vietnam Veterans' Association and their families good health, happiness, success, prosperity, and well-being, and presented Tet gifts from the CMC and MND to the VVA’s Central Committee.
On behalf of the leadership of the VVA’s Central Committee, Senior Lieutenant General Be Xuan Truong, Chairman of the Vietnam Veterans Association, sincerely thanked the CMC, MND, and General Giang for their attention, cooperation, and support over the past time.
General Truong expressed his absolute trust in the Party, State, and military, and affirmed that in the coming time, the leadership of the VVA’s Central Committee and all members will continue to uphold the noble qualities of the Uncle Ho's soldiers, contributing to the Party, people, and military’s efforts to successfully complete the tasks of building and safeguarding the Socialist Republic of Vietnam.
