GDP’s organs roll out training and combat readiness missions in 2022
PANO – Deputy Chief of the General Department of Political Affairs (GDP) Senior Lieutenant General Do Can chaired a conference of GDP’s organs on March 2 to roll out training and combat readiness missions for 2022.
The conference reviewed that in 2021, GDP’s organs and affiliated units effectively fulfilled all set targets and contents while ensuring absolute safety of personnel, weapons and equipment during training sessions. In addition, the whole general department actively built plans in response to different levels of the COVID-19 pandemic and took pandemic prevention and control measures in line with real situations.

Speaking at the event, General Can praised agencies and units for their outstanding achievements in implementing training and combat readiness missions in 2021. He asked their Party committees and chain-of-commands to study and strictly carry out the Central Military Commission’s conclusion on continuing implementing resolution 765-NQ/QUTW on renewing and raising training quality as well as directives on military and defense missions in 2022.
General Can urged agencies and units to develop their own military work plans with the focus on improving the quality of education to raise troops’ awareness of training, combat readiness and pandemic prevention and control task in implementing training and combat readiness mission. He asked them to organize training activities in line with the pandemic situation and ensure absolute safety of people and equipment during training.

In addition, agencies and units should maintain the strict implementation of regulation building, discipline observance, and comprehensively strong and exemplary unit building mission.
On the occasion, the Standing Party Committee and Emulation and Reward Council of the GDP kicked off an emulation movement in 2022, themed “Pro-activeness - Flexibility - Good Training - High Combat Readiness.”
