Delivering a speech at the ceremony, Senior Colonel Nguyen Dinh Duc, Head of the Defense Trade Union Board, recalled the historical achievements of the union's officials, trade union members, and workers. He emphasized that over 75 years of development, the defense trade union sector has always accompanied the historical stages of the Party, the country, and the Vietnam People's Army. In each period, trade union officials, members, and workers have preserved and promoted the noble virtues of Uncle Ho's soldiers and the traditions of the Vietnamese working class. They have overcome challenges and mastered technical and scientific advances, contributing to the overall strength of the military.

Col. Duc added that emulation movements initiated by the Defense Trade Union Board have been widely implemented, contributing to enhancing labor productivity. Products created by trade union officials, members, and workers have met the increasing demands for military training and combat readiness, saving VND billions for the State and the military. Over the past five years (2018-2023), more than 51,000 initiatives have been studied and effectively applied, with a value of nearly VND 6,000 billion.
