According to a brief report of the Quang Ninh provincial Military Command, the province’s armed forces have mobilized thousands of officers and soldiers from many military units; thousands of equipment and vehicles to assist local people in responding to the third storm, rescuing distressed people, ensuring security and social order, and mitigating the storm consequences.

Speaking at the event, Senior Colonel Nguyen Hong Loi, Deputy Head of the Defense Trade Union Board, stated that Typhoon Yagi, the strongest typhoon in recent decades, caused severe damage to northern localities, including Quang Ninh. Strictly implementing the direction of the higher levels, the province’s armed forces have actively braced for the third storm under the motto “four on-the-spots” and assisted local people in surmounting its aftermath. Their efforts have been highly appreciated by the local party committees, authorities, and people.
On behalf of leaders of the Defense Trade Union Board, Sr. Col. Nguyen Hong Loi praised the efforts, determination and high responsibility of Quang Ninh troops.
On this occasion, the Defense Trade Union Board, the General Department of Defense Industry, the General Department of Logistics, the Military Industry-Telecoms Group (Viettel), TECAPRO company presented gifts, worth 30 million VND, to officers and soldiers participating in helping people surmount the post-storm consequences.
