Defense Minister works with Corps 12

General Phan Van Giang visits Corps 12.

At the working session, representative from Corps 12 reported on preparations for groundbreaking, including topographic surveys, construction planning, mobilization of personnel and equipment, and coordination with relevant agencies and local authorities to ensure timely implementation of the projects.

Gen. Giang praised the Corps and Project Management Unit 166 under the Ministry of National Defense for their pro-active and responsible efforts.

Stressing the strategic significance that the projects are carrying for national defense, security, and socio-economic development in the country’s southernmost region, the defense chief urged the corps to ensure thorough, safe, and lawful preparations, ready for immediate construction once ordered.

At the working session

Acknowledging Corps 12’s heavy workload and difficult terrain in Ca Mau, Gen. Giang called for strong support from provincial authorities and requested the unit to overcome hardships to meet progress and safety requirements.

The visit demonstrated the Central Military Commission and Ministry of National Defense’s close attention and served as a strong encouragement for Corps 12 to well implement major projects in Ca Mau province in the time to come.
