Reportedly, in the first nine months of 2024, the provincial socio-economy achieved positive results. The local economic growth was 7.15%, higher than the same period last year. Budget revenue reached VND 13,780 billion, accounting for 79% of the estimate, up 7% year-on-year.

Attentively, the progress of key projects was sped up. Accordingly, the section of the 500kV circuit 3 power transmission line through the province was completed; almost all of the construction site for the expressway was basically handed over; Vung Ang 2 Thermal Power Plant project with an investment capital of more than VND 2 billion USD was going to be put into operation.
Moreover, the province well performed military and defense tasks associated with socio-economic development, including recruitments, combat readiness training, recruit and militia and self-defense force training, defensive area exercise, disaster prevention and search and rescue operations.
Gen. Giang highly valued the province’s socio-economic and defense-security achievements, particularly the solidarity and high consensus of the provincial Party committee, authorities, and people in task implementation.
He said that on the basis of suggestions made by the province, ministries and sectors would give advice to ease difficulties, creating favorable conditions and motivation for the local sustainable socio-economic development.
He asked the locality to direct the realization of important goals in economic growth, investment disbursement, budget collection, preparations for all-level party congresses towards to 14th National Party Congress, policies for militia and self-defense force, and promotion of cooperative ties with Lao localities.

The defense chief added that the Central Military Commission (CMC), the Ministry of National Defense (MND) would help the province to build 500 houses for local disadvantaged families.
On behalf of the CMC and MND, Gen. Giang presented gifts to the provincial Military and Border Guard Commands and Public Security force, 20 gifts to local policy beneficiaries, and 30 others to needy servicemen’s families.
On the afternoon the same day, Gen. Giang visited Division 324, during which he asked the unit to strictly observe combat readiness regulations, consider combat readiness training a key task, pay attention to training in response to non-traditional security challenges, force regularity building, discipline observance, promotion of party organization’s leading role and improvement of troops’ living standard.

Earlier, Gen. Giang and his entourage paid tribute to patriot, poet and cultural celebrity Phan Boi Chau who devoted his life to the patriotic movement in Vietnam at the memorial site dedicated to him in Nam Dan district, Nghe An province and offered flowers and incense to heroic martyrs and fallen youth volunteers at Truong Bon national historical relic site.
