General Phan Van Giang inspects the Department of Criminal Investigation.

General Giang and the delegation inspected the working spaces, dining and resting areas of officers and personnel in both units, as well as the management of military facilities and the organization of working spaces.

He hailed the units for effectively ensuring combat readiness and military discipline during the holiday. He also praised the orderly and clean arrangement of offices, dining, and resting areas for officers, staff, and soldiers. However, General Giang also pointed out several existing shortcomings and requested the units to promptly address them.

The defense minister instructed the Department of Criminal Investigation and the Department of Finance to continue strengthening facility management, build plans, and arrange offices, dining, and resting areas in a scientific and standardized manner to maximize the utility of existing infrastructure. He emphasized the importance of investing in modern, synchronized equipment and promoting information technology applications and digital transformation to enhance administrative and professional operations.

General Giang stressed that the unit leaders should carefully consider the master plan when renovating any facilities to ensure coherence. Workspaces and living areas must be designed to optimize functionality and efficiency. He also urged making full use of facilities that are still in good condition to avoid unnecessary budget expenditure.

Finally, unit leaders were directed to ensure military discipline and absolute safety. He also requested them to take measures to improve troops’ material and spiritual life.
