Defense Minister visits and inspects units in the South

PANO - Defense Minister General Phan Van Giang led a delegation to visit, inspect, and work with the Southern Vietnam Helicopter Company under the Vietnam Helicopter Corporation (Corps 18) in Vung Tau city of Ba Ria – Vung Tau province on April 26.

During the visit, the Defense Minister commended the Southern Vietnam Helicopter Company for its efforts and achievements in recent times. He said that with the scientific and rational arrangement of sections, the company has made full use of their functions, contributing to enhancing the position and reputation of Corps 18 in the region. Additionally, the company's officers, employees, and troops have demonstrated high unity and strong technical and foreign language proficiency.

The defense leader requested Corps 18 to focus on training cadets according to clear, structured curriculums and lesson plans and maintain detailed flight training logs. He also emphasized the need to apply scientific and technological advances to archival work and install camera systems in technical workshops to monitor maintenance processes.

He requested the corps to well carry out Party and political work, thoroughly prepare for its upcoming Party Congress, pay attention to taking care of officers and employees’ life, fully implement policies for them, and enhance physical training and sports activities to improve the health of officers and soldiers.

Earlier the same day, General Phan Van Giang and the delegation visited and inspected the Victory Hotel under the Logistics Department of the General Staff, during which he requested the hotel to fully utilize its infrastructure, improve product and service quality, enhance the skills and professionalism of the service staff, warmly welcome military and civilian guests, and boost business performance.

On this occasion, the defense leader presented gifts to the staff and employees of the Southern Vietnam Helicopter Company and the Victory Hotel.
