After conducting an inspection tour around Coast Guard Region 1 and listening to the Coast Guard Region 1 Command’s report on its task implementation, General Can asked Coast Guard Region 1 to continue raising the effectiveness of the political education work, embrace troops’ thoughts and aspirations, strictly maintain combat readiness, actively practice combat readiness plans, as well as to closely follow and predict situations to devise suitable solutions.

The same day, the delegation conducted an inspection at Marine Border Squadron 38 of the Vietnam Border Guard Command. The unit’ reports highlighted that over the past time, Squadron 38 has strictly maintained duties and actively trained combat readiness plans, ready to address any circumstances in a timely manner. The squadron effectively cooperated with other border guard units and relevant forces to closely follow local situational developments and conduct patrols so as to firmly maintain political security and public order in the assigned waters.

* A mission of the General Staff of the Vietnam People’s Army, led by its Deputy Chief, Lieutenant General Phung Si Tan, paid a working visit to Military Region 5 Command and Naval Region 3 Command on October 9. Acknowledging and praising the units’ achievements in performing their tasks over the past time, General Tan asked them to coordinate with local Party committees and authorities to effectively carry out military and defense missions. They were also urged to maintain guard and sentry duty regulations, build a regular unit, strictly observe military discipline, and improve troops’ material and spiritual lives.
