Addressing the event, Gen. Cuong commended the Standing Board of the Academy's Party Committee, the Academy's Board of Administrators, particularly the exercise steering committee, the school’s affiliated agencies, units, instructors, and trainees for their thorough preparations for the exercise.
The defense leader asked the Academy to continue strictly implementing higher-level resolutions and directives on fundamentally and comprehensively innovating military education and training.
He also called for further innovation in exercise content, curricula, and organization to better reflect operational realities, meet the requirements of building a modern military, and keep pace with the nature of contemporary warfare. The Academy was also urged to intensify research into new combat scenarios and expand the application of information technology, simulation, and digital transformation in exercise organization, command, and control.
Gen. Cuong instructed the Academy's cadres and instructors to strengthen their scientific research capacity, theoretical knowledge, and professional competence, while regularly updating their understanding of new developments in military art, high-tech warfare, and digital transformation in order to apply them to teaching, training, and exercises.
For trainees, the defense leader emphasized the need to further promote self-study and independent research, enhance command capabilities, improve advisory skills and strategic thinking, and develop the ability to respond effectively to complex and unpredictable situations in modern combat operations.
He requested the academy to conduct a comprehensive review after the exercise, draw lessons, address remaining shortcomings, and continue to improve the quality of exercises in the years ahead.
