PANO - The General Department of Politics of the Vietnam People's Army on October 31st held a ground-breaking ceremony for a public housing project, with the attendance of Major General Ho Trong Dao, Head of the Political Department.

The 590sq.m facility was built on an area of 6,350sq.m in Ward 6, Go Vap district,  comprising 72 apartments of 46 to 51sq.m each.

The facility will cost VND 80 billion from the national defence budget, and be put into operation by the end of 2016.

The facility shows the efforts of the general department to meet its southern troops' housing demands, contributing to effectively implementing social policies for troops in the unit.
