Addressing the event, Gen. Tan asked military exhibitors, including the Chemical Corps, to make good preparations, choose outstanding products with high scientific content in order to introduce quality products of the Vietnamese defense industry to the world.

The GS deputy chief said that the products must show development achievements of the country’s defense industry sector, thus featuring the defense power of Vietnam as well as the country’s enhancement of international integration, and defense cooperation with other countries.
During the working visit, Gen. Tan and his entourage had a look at some Chemical Corps-researched and manufactured products to be showcased at the expo.

According to Major General Ha Van Cu, Commander of the Chemical Corps, at the Vietnam Defense 2024, the corps plans to exhibit 25 new specialized products in indoor and outdoor spaces.
The corps has been actively preparing for the expo. It regularly checks, stores, and operates showcased exhibits to ensure their readiness for the big event.

At previous defense expo, the Chemical Corps directed Brigade 86 to work closely with relevant agencies and units to ensure combat readiness duties, and security during the event. Attentively, its indoor and outdoor booths with 16 exhibited products welcomed nearly 24,000 domestic and international visitors.
Also at the working session, a representative for the General Department of Defense Industry confirmed that showcased products of the Vietnamese defense industry sector at the Vietnam International Defense Expo 2024 will be new, modern, and typical. Apart from the increase in exhibitors, the expo will see a rise in products on display, and specially-designed display spaces to show off features of the products.

As part of the visit, Gen. Tan heard reports on the Chemical Corps’ performance of the work on overcoming consequences of post-war toxic chemicals in 2023.
