General Nguyen Tan Cuong speaks at the event. |
General Cuong noted that the Artillery–Missile Command proudly inherits the glorious traditions of the heroic Artillery Corps, a combat arm with a long and illustrious history, forged through the nation’s resistance wars. The corps achieved numerous brilliant feats-of-arms, embodying the golden words of tradition bestowed by beloved President Ho Chi Minh: “Bronze feet, iron shoulders, skilled in combat, precise in firing.”
In the present stage, with increasingly demanding tasks, the Artillery–Missile Command is being organized and built along the lines of being elite, compact, strong, and modern. Its scale, force structure, functions, and missions have been expanded. The force has been equipped with various modern weapons and equipment, and deployed with a broader strategic disposition.
