At the meeting, presentations focused on analyzing objects, scopes, research method, structure and content of the project and clarifying theoretical and practical issues, achievements, limitations, causes and practical lessons drawn.
In his concluding speech, Gen. Tung spoke highly of the presentations, saying that they helped deepen the theory and practice of the Party and political work in implementing the tasks of preventing and controlling natural disasters and diseases, conducting SAR operations and protecting the environment in the 1975-2020 period; and point out limitations that need to be fixed and documents and historical materials that need to be supplemented.
Gen. Tung affirmed that the project has summarized five outstanding achievements, and six valuable lessons on the work. These are valuable contents with very important meanings in both theory and practice, contributing to educating, imparting experience, improving capacity in organizing and conducting Party and political activities among Party committees, political commissars, political cadres, political agencies, and commanders at all levels to meet the task requirements in the new situation.
To further improve the quality of the project, Gen. Tung requested the compilation board to complete the draft with reference to contents that participants opined. He also asked relevant agencies and units to pay attention to the research and compilation of their own projects to ensure their progress and quality.
