They should send troops to assist residents in reinforcing homes and relocating from danger zones. Units must also work with other forces in localities to prepare personnel and vehicles to support local disaster response, recovery, and rescue operations.
Services, army corps, the Hanoi Capital Command, and the Coast Guard Command are required to review their own response plans, ensure the security of military infrastructure, work closely with local governments, and prepare personnel and and vehicles to promptly support communities affected by the storm.
The border guard forces of coastal provinces from Quang Ninh to Thanh Hoa are tasked with monitoring the typhoon’s movements and coordinating with local authorities to manage maritime traffic. They must keep track of vessels at sea, notify owners of the storm’s trajectory, and guide ships to safe shelter areas. They are also responsible for organizing and supervising safe docking procedures.
Key support units, including the General Department of Logistics and Technical Affairs, the General Department of Defense Industry, and General Department II, are required to oversee preparations among their subordinate units. Besides protecting the safety of warehouses, factories, weapons, and equipment, they must ensure logistics and technical supplies for storm response missions.
