Over the past 20 years, the department has well made recommendations to the Government to direct ministries, sectors, and localities to respond to and overcome the consequences of hundreds of storms and tens of thousands of incidents and diseases. It has dispatched around 4.2 million participating people with around 165,000 vehicles to save 73,000 people and 6,365 vehicles. 

Over the past years, the whole military sent 3.5 million participating officers and soldiers, 110,354 vehicles to save around 57,000 people and 5,000 vehicles.

For its obtained results over the past 20, the department has been presented with three Labor and one Fatherland Protection Orders by the State President; three emulation flags and eight certificates of merits of the Prime Minister; and dozens of certificates of merit of the Defense Ministry.
