Training and overcoming hardships with a spirit of steel
Mission A80 is not just a ceremonial event. It stands as a powerful symbol of patriotism, indomitable will, iron discipline, and steadfast political stance of the border guard force. Being aware of the great responsibility, from the beginning of this year, the Vietnam Border Guard Command has directed its units to build comprehensive training plans, carefully selecting officers and soldiers with exemplary qualities, physical fitness, and discipline to participate in Mission A80.

Their uniforms are soaked with sweat; however, the eyes of participating troops still shine with pride, confidence, and responsibility. |
The participating formations are the marching formation of border troops, two standing formations of border officers and cadets, as well as female military personnel. All were synchronously trained at the Border Guard Academy, Hoa Lac Airport, and Mieu Mon National Training Center in Hanoi to fully prepare for the full-dress rehearsal and official parade on the National Day (September 2).
After two months of training at the Border Guard Academy, from early June, the formations participating in Mission A80 of the border guard force moved to Hoa Lac Airport for joint training exercises with other forces. Each day, officers and soldiers had to travel over 20 kilometers from their accommodations at the academy to the training ground. Although training stretched from early morning until late afternoon, leaving their uniforms soaked with sweat, the eyes of participating troops still shone with pride, confidence, and a sense of responsibility.
According to Major Dang Quoc Dung, Head of the parade company A80 of the border guard force, in spite of training under harsh conditions and at high intensity, troops always maintain a strong sense of responsibility. They organized training activities in a scientific manner, closely coordinated with the instructor team, strictly maintained military discipline and promoted team spirit to overcome difficulties and train at their best in preparation for the upcoming grand national celebration.

Apart from training activities, troops engaged in cultural ones. On July 13, a delegation of border troops participating in Mission A80 visited the Vietnam Museum of Military History. This was an occasion to arouse troops’ patriotism and national pride, as well as raise their awareness and reinforce political resolve in the whole force.
As the full-dress rehearsal is drawing near, every step and movement are being meticulously practiced. The participation of the formation of the border guard force in the parade is more than a display of a regular and modern force, it is a source of pride, a declaration of their core and specialized role in safeguarding national sovereignty and border security.
