During the visits, the Kien Giang provincial Military Command delegation was provided with information about the Cambodian units’ economic situation, external services, unit-building, and outcomes in coordination with Vietnamese partners over the past time.
On behalf of the delegation, Col. An wished generals, officers and soldiers of military units of Cambodia a happy Chol Chnam Thmay festival.

Expressing thanks to the guest for their good sentiment, representatives from host units emphasized their gratitude to the friendship, faithfulness and great sacrifice of Vietnamese volunteer troops for the Cambodian people in the fight to liberate Cambodian from the Pol Pot genocidal regime.
The host and guest expressed their wishes to uphold and tighten the friendship and solidarity between the two countries in general and the two armed forces in particular.
Also on April 4 and 5, a delegation from Division 5 of Military Region 7 visited and presented New Year gifts to the 1st Intervention Brigade of the Royal Cambodian Army of the Royal Cambodian Armed Forces.

At the event, both sides evaluated that last year the two units regularly organized meetings, shared information, jointly disseminated information about traditions and well develop their solidarity, friendship and cooperation, contributing to their troops’ raised understanding of each other and promotion of solidarity and mutual support. They carried out a number of practical activities to foster their relations, helping enhance the solidarity and friendship between the two militaries and people of the two countries.
On the occasion, both sides agreed to accelerate their coordination and information exchange, assurance of social welfare, building of comprehensively-strong units, among others.
