Vietnamese unit extends greetings to Cambodian troops on Chol Chnam Thmay festival

During the visit, Second-in-Command Officer of the Binh Thuan provincial Military Command Senior Colonel Truong Ngoc Truong extended greetings to the troops of the Military Sub-region of Kampong Chhnang province.

He said that the two sides have maintained online and direct meetings while developing traditional friendship and solidarity for the benefits of the two localities, as well as building a strong friendship between the two militaries and people.

In response, Major General Sophea Um, Commanding Officer of the Military Sub-region of Kampong Chhnang province, expressed his gratitude to the Binh Thuan provincial Military Command for their visit and briefed them on his unit's task performance, which is to ensure political stability and socio-economic development in the region. The Military Sub-region of Kampong Chhnang province also paid special attention to supporting overseas Vietnamese living in the area, he added.

Both sides sign a cooperation agreement during the event.

The Cambodian officer expressed hope that the solidarity between the two units would be further strengthened in the future, contributing to the lasting friendship between Vietnam and Cambodia.

During the visit, the two sides discussed and agreed to sign a cooperation agreement for 2023 to continuously support each other in socio-economic development, social welfare, and the building of their respective military units.
