Vietnamese tank contingent’s first crew performs well

The competition took place right after the opening ceremony of the Army Games 2021 held at Patriot Park with the attendance of Russian President Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin.

In their first game with crews from Venezuela, Syria and Mongolia, the Vietnamese tank crew, including chief of the crew Captain Vu Ba Trong, gunner Lieutenant Le Quang Hiep and driver Lieutenant Do Quoc Tuan, hit all five targets and finished after 24 minutes 58 seconds.

According to Senior Colonel Phan Hai Long, Head of the Vietnamese Tank Contingent, the first crew has successfully completed their assigned mission.

On August 26 and 29, the second and third crews of the Vietnamese Tank Contingent will continue to compete in the qualifying round of the “Tank Biathlon” contest. Eight best tank teams based on the overall results of three crews of each team will secure a ticket to the semi-final round.
