However, they need to fix weapon accuracy to gain the best grades at the upcoming competition. He added that last year’s test took two to three hours instead of only an hour this year.

The Vietnamese Tank contingent then brought their tanks to the maintenance center to check other systems.

Lieutenant Le Quang Hiep, a non-commissioned officer of Crew No.1 of the contingent, said he was satisfied with the live-fire testing session and the sound coordination among crew-members.

Sharing his satisfaction with the live-fire testing, Head of the VPA Tank contingent Senior Colonel Phan Hai Long held that all crew-members mastered equipment and vehicles, thanks to their good preparation at home. The Vietnamese tank troops are looking forwards to competing in the upcoming contest.

The Vietnamese tank crews will drive red tanks and compete in racetrack No.2 according to the results of the lot drawing. With the red color, gunners will find it easier to aim at the targets, even in sunny days.

Earlier, Russian, Chinese and Lao tank contingents also conducted live-fire tests. Meanwhile, as Mali sent only one crew for the event, they joined the live-fire test in the host Russian team’s tank formation.
