PANO – Thirty members of the first contingent of the Level 2 Field Hospital (L2FH) Rotation 3 are observing the 14-day quarantine period at the UN Mission in South Sudan (UNMISS)’s Tomping Base in Juba after arriving in the country.
According to Deputy Director of the L2FH Rotation 3 Major Pham Van Hao, thanks to good preparations and close coordination among relevant units, the team has adjusted to its new surroundings in the foreign country.
After arriving in the quarantine area, the hospital’s members flew the national flag to show Vietnam’s participation in the UN peacekeeping operations, help Vietnamese peacekeepers overcome homesickness, an encourage them to overcome challenges.
According to the hospital’s personnel, one of the advantages of the third L2FH is the participation of 18 officers from L2FH Rotation 1. Non-commission Lieutenant Colonel Chu Duc Hiep, a member of L2FH Rotation 1, said that he is ready to share his practical experience to help his colleagues get used to the new environment.
In the quarantine area, the contingent had their first meal in a cozy atmosphere in South Sudan. All of them have demonstrated their high resolve to fulfill all missions.
