At the meeting, Senior Lieutenant General Huynh Chien Thang welcomed the Chinese delegation to Vietnam and believed that the visit will contribute to strengthen mutual trust and understanding between the two militaries in general and their strategic research bodies in particular.

The Vietnamese Deputy Chief of the General Staff affirmed that leaders of the Vietnamese Party, State, and military attach importance to comprehensively fostering cooperation fields with China on the basis of the comprehensive strategic partnership between the two countries and wish to promote the bilateral defense ties with the country.

Briefing the host on the outcomes of the delegation’s working session with the Vietnamese Defense Strategy Institute, Major General Yang Cunse said that the two sides agreed that they have obtained positive outcomes in collecting documents and artifacts related to the friendship between the Vietnamese and Chinese militaries and the thoughts of President Ho Chi Minh and Chairman Mao Zedong about friendship.

The host highly appreciated the significance of cooperation in research between the Chinese Military Science Academy and the Vietnamese Defense Strategy Institute and emphasized that the cooperation in this field will contribute to promoting solidarity, friendship, and cooperation between the two militaries. He affirmed that leaders of the two defense ministries and general staffs always support the exchange and cooperation between the two research institutes of the two militaries.
