Reportedly, since the beginning of 2021, the complicated developments of the COVID-19 pandemic have directly affected collaboration of the two forces.

With the spirit of solidarity, friendship, peace, stability, cooperation for mutual development, the border guard forces of the two countries have actively exchanged information related to the COVID-19 pandemic and the national sovereignty and border security.

The two sides have also cooperated well to implement measures on managing border areas, protecting their assigned border landmarks, fighting again border crime, and monitoring commercial exchange activities of border people in accordance with the laws of each side.

At the talk, both sides discussed and mapped out several orientations for cooperation in the time to come. They planned to continue collaborating to grasp all situations to fight cross-border crime and prevent plots of hostile forces. In addition, they will conduct joint patrol and inspection in border areas to prevent illegal logging, human trafficking, and so on.

Also, they agreed to enhance information exchange about activities of drug crime, wanted criminals, and cross-border crime while enhancing information dissemination for border people in Dak Nong and Mondulkiri provinces, contributing to helping them understand legal regulations of each countries and the agreements signed by the two countries’ governments.
