Various activities held between Vietnamese and Cambodian border guards
PANO - On December 29, the Tay Ninh Provincial Border Guard Command carried out meaningful activities within the framework of the 1st Vietnam - Cambodia Border Friendship Exchange Program in 2016, contributing to strengthening the friendship between the two countries.

Accordingly, troops of the Phuoc Tan Border Station of the Tay Ninh provincial Border Guard Command and the Border Police Battalion 611 of the Svey Rieng provincial Public Security Department co-held a joint border patrol. This initiative of the two countries' border guard forces, will be held regularly or irregularly on the presidency rotation mode. This year's patrol was undertaken within a distance of the national border landmarks No. 150 and No. 151, to observe the two border landmarks' condition, exchange relevant content and agree on measures for protection and management.
The same day, the three border stations of the Tay Ninh provincial Border Guards and the Border Police Battalion 611 held a talk on border protection and management as well as crime fighting and prevention in the shared border areas. They also suggested more measures to boost their cooperation in the time to come.
On this occasion, the Tay Ninh provincial Border Guard Command unveiled a civilian-military medical station for a Vietnam-Cambodia friendship border in Ben Cau hamlet, Bien Gioi commune, Chau Thanh district. The VND 700 million worth construction was invested by the Vietnam Border Guards as a gift for people in the border areas. It has one room for medicine delivering, two rooms for health check-ups and one room for in-patients.
After the inauguration ceremony, Vietnamese border doctors provide health check-ups and free medicines for and presented gifts to locals. The two sides agreed to continue building medical stations in border areas of the two countries to serve the two nations' people in the time to come.
