An overview of the closing ceremony |
Held from 21 to 30 of July, the joint training program featured a range of key contents, including reconnaissance, camouflage, UAV operations, live-fire exercise, battlefield first aid, chemical prevention, field logistics provision, use of bayonets, and integrated exercises. Notably, the UAV operation segment involved six real-combat scenarios in mountainous terrains, thereby significantly enhancing the two sides’ capabilities in reconnaissance, attack, rescue, and joint operational coordination.

Throughout the training program, the two sides’ ground forces cooperated closely, followed the planned schedule, ensured absolute safety for personnel and equipment, and demonstrated professionalism, discipline, solidarity, and friendship.
In addition to military training, the program also included cultural and sports exchanges, such as basketball, table tennis, Chinese chess, calligraphy, and musical performances. These activities fostered troops’ solidarity.

Addressing the closing ceremony, Major General Chen Liang highlighted that the program helped deepen the traditional friendship between China and Vietnam. He affirmed that China stands ready to continue collaborating with Vietnam in organizing future joint training activities, thereby promoting practical and high-level cooperation between the two militaries.
On behalf of the Vietnamese delegation, Major General Nguyen Van Lich emphasized that the results achieved over the 10-day training program vividly reflected effective cooperation, experience-sharing, and enhanced combat capabilities. He described the joint training as a significant step forward, demonstrating the capacity of the ground forces of the two militaries for practical coordination in maintaining peace, stability, and security along the shared border.

At the event, a representative of Vietnam's Military Region 1 announced that in the coming time, Military Regions 1, 2, and 3 of Vietnam will send delegations to visit and work with the Southern Theater’s Ground Force of China. The Vietnamese side also extended a formal invitation for a reciprocal visit to Vietnam in the fourth quarter this year.
On this occasion, the Joint Training Command awarded certificates of merit to 20 Vietnamese and 20 Chinese participants for their outstanding performance during the program.
