In his speech at the reception, Chinese Ambassador to Vietnam He Wei emphasized the traditional neighborliness between China and Vietnam, describing the two countries as comrades and brothers who share common ideals, beliefs, and broad strategic interests. He hoped that the two militaries would always contribute to maintaining relationship between the two countries, promoting he building of a China - Vietnam community with a shared future in a more intensive and substantive manner.

On behalf of the leadership of the Vietnamese Ministry of National Defense, Gen. Hien reviewed the history of the bilateral relations, stress that the Vietnamese people always bear in mind the support of China, and congratulated all generals, officers, and soldiers of the Chinese PLA on the Chinese PLA’s 98th founding anniversary. He expressed his belief that the Chinese PLA would continue making even greater contributions to regional and global peace, stability, and development.

The Vietnamese defense leader stressed that the bilateral defense ties have always been affirmed as an important pillar in the bilateral relationship and hoped that the friendly cooperation between the two countries in general and Vietnam - China defense cooperation in particular would continue to achieve new breakthroughs, bringing tangible benefits to the people of both countries and contributing to peace, stability, and development in the region and the world.
