With many practical activities, the program contributed to boosting mutual understanding and exchange activities, cooperation, as well as experience sharing between the two sides’ young officers in particular, and the two militaries in general.

In the framework of the program, the Vietnamese young officer delegation visited and had working sessions at the Indian Defense Academy, College of Military Engineering, Pune city, Maratha Light Infantry, Military Intelligence Training School, Indian Army’s Armored Corps Center and School (ACC&C), and Ahmednagar Mechanized Infantry Center and School (MIC&S).

The Vietnamese delegation visits the Indian Army’s Armored Corps Center and School.

At the ACC&C and MIC&S, the Vietnamese delegation toured and was briefed on many simulation training programs, such as tactical shooting at moving targets, driving tanks on all types of terrains, and shooting ground and air targets from tanks.

Participating in exchange activities, both sides actively discussed issues of mutual concern, focusing on personnel training work in the military, the role of young officers in building defense power and coping with non-traditional issues, among others.

Visiting Ahmednagar Mechanized Infantry Center and School

The success of this year’s exchange paved the way for both sides to renovate contents and forms of upcoming programs.

This was a useful program, helping young officers to get to know more about the long friendship and good traditional relationship between the two countries and two militaries, thereby contributing to raising their awareness of preserving and further upholding the close relationship, which has been built and nurtured by the two countries’ leaders and people.
