They patrolled 13 points across 255.5 nautical miles, from Northeast of Con Co Island to Southeast of Tran Island.
During the patrol, both sides held direct talks, coordinated action plans at sea, and organized professional legal exchanges.

Vietnam also formed an inter-agency inspection team to monitor fishing vessels, guide fishermen on maritime regulations, promote legal awareness, and release fish fry to help restore marine resources.
At the talks between the two coast guard forces, Senior Colonel Luong Cao Khai, Deputy Commander and Chief of Staff of the Coast Guard Region 1 Command under the Vietnam Coast Guard, said recent high-level exchanges between Vietnam and China, especially Party General Secretary and State President To Lam’s state visit to China rom April 14-17, helped strengthen political trust and future cooperation.
He emphasized that maritime law enforcement cooperation between the two coast guard forces has remained effective, with successful joint patrols and anti-crime operations carried out in 2025.

Senior Colonel Zhan Dadong, Deputy Head of the Nanhai Sub-division of the China Coast Guard emphasized that the joint patrols have strengthened cooperation, protected maritime security and stability, and supported fisheries management, becoming a model of cooperation between the two forces.
Both sides agreed to continue and expand joint patrols, strengthen law enforcement at sea, improve search and rescue cooperation, and better support fishermen from both countries.
During the patrol, the Vietnam Coast Guard held a requiem ceremony for fallen soldiers and fishermen who lost their lives in the Gulf of Tonkin.
