At border marker 666 (A Dot - Ta Vang border gate), in the bustling atmosphere, each officer quickly made preparations for the handover ceremony. Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Quang Manh, Political Commissar of the Border Post of A Dot Border Gate, held that in addition to border management and protection missions, the unit actively mobilizes resources to conduct border external affairs.
Reportedly, the unit has also partnered with organizations and sponsors to visit and grant gifts to border residents along the shared borderline, and further strengthening the solidarity and friendship between the two armed forces and peoples.
By 7:30 a.m., people from Kalo hamlet (Kaleum district, Sekong province, Laos) and the armed forces had been present at border marker 666. Accordingly, officers of the Border Post of A Dot Border Gate presented over 200 breeding chicken to the Border Protection Company 531 and the Ta Vang Police Post, along with 120 gifts for locals from the hamlet. Kalo is home to 120 households with 563 people. They are still facing many difficulties in life.
Senior Captain Von Phom My, Political Commissar of Border Protection Company 531, noted that over the past time, they have received a lot of support from the Thua Thien Hue provincial authorities and Border Guard Command, especially the Border Post of A Dot Border Gate. The assistance has contributed to helping them fulfill their assigned tasks. He expressed his hope that the special solidarity and friendship between the two sides would be further tightened.
