Sailing Vessel 286 - Le Quy Don leaves Indonesia for Brunei
PANO - Sailing Vessel 286 - Le Quy Don and the delegation of the Vietnam People’s Navy, led by the Naval Academy’s Deputy Director Senior Captain Nguyen Dinh Giang, left the Surabaya naval port of Indonesia for Brunei on July 20, successfully concluding its visit and exchange program with the Indonesian Navy.
Captain Muhammed Taufik, Second-in-Command in Operation of Surabaya Naval Base bid farewell to the delegation. The event was attended by Vietnamese Defense Attaché to Indonesia Senior Colonel Nguyen Tuan Duc.
During the three-day stay in Indonesia, the Vietnamese delegation paid courtesy calls on leaders of Surabaya city, the 2nd Fleet of the Indonesian Navy, and Naval Base No.5 in Surabaya; had a friendly sports exchange with the Indonesian Navy; visited Sailing Vessel Bima Suci.
Captain Muhammed Taufik congratulated members of the Vietnamese delegation on the successful visit and exchange with the Indonesian Navy and believed that they had good impression of Indonesia, its people, military, and navy.
Head of the Vietnamese delegation Nguyen Dinh Giang stressed that the visit and exchange ended successfully, contributing to strengthening friendship, cooperation, mutual understanding and trust between the militaries and navies of the two countries.
As scheduled, Sailing Vessel 286 - Le Quy Don will arrive at Muara Port, Brunei on July 29 to start the visit and exchange with the country’s Navy.
