Russian servicemen training for grand parade in Vietnam
PANO - As part of the celebrations marking the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day on September 2, alongside contingents from the Lao People’s Army and the Royal Cambodian Armed Forces, a delegation from the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation has been actively training in preparation for the grand ceremony.
On the morning of August 26, due to the weather conditions, the training of the Russian servicemen was moved indoors to the Viettel Academy’s multi-purpose sports hall. Although the indoor space was more limited compared to the outdoor training ground, the Russian servicemen maintained high spirit, carefully adjusting each movement and step to ensure the formation would be unified, precise, and visually impressive on the day of the parade.
The Russian contingent, consisting of 33 servicemen, is made up mostly of young soldiers aged between 21 and 24. Leading the group is First Lieutenant Mikhailov Anton Vladimirovich, the formation head, who stands out with his 1.9-meter height, upright posture, and disciplined, decisive demeanor.
These servicemen belong to the 154th Preobrazhensky Commandant Regiment, a distinguished unit whose traditions are rooted in the legendary Preobrazhensky Regiment, an enduring symbol of Russian military honor and glory. The regiment is tasked with ceremonial duties, hosting guards of honor for visiting heads of state, and participating in major national parades and significant state events.
The People’s Army Newspaper presents some photos of the Russian delegation’s training session on August 26:
