At the working session, Senior Colonel Nguyen Hong Hai briefed the Russian guests on the 75-year history of development and growth of the People’s Army Newspaper. From a single-language publication, the PAN has evolved into a multilingual, multimedia press agency, currently publishing in six languages: Vietnamese, English, Chinese, Lao, Khmer, and Russian.
Senior Colonel Nguyen Hong Hai noted that in August this year, the Russian-language edition of the People’s Army Newspaper Online was officially launched. This milestone not only marked a significant chapter in the PAN’s development, but also contributed to further strengthening the traditional friendship and comprehensive strategic partnership between Vietnam and the Russian Federation.

The Russian-language edition focuses on promoting and introducing Vietnam’s country, people, and the Vietnam People’s Army, as well as highlighting the Vietnam–Russia comprehensive strategic partnership, thereby contributing to nurturing the long-standing traditional relationship between the two nations and enhancing mutual understanding, particularly among younger generations.
Expressing his pleasure at visiting the headquarters of the PAN, Colonel Belosludtsev Sergey Vladimirovich said that he regularly follows news published by the PAN. For him and many Russian officials working in Vietnam, the newspaper serves as a reliable and valuable source of information.

Colonel Belosludtsev Sergey Vladimirovich highly appreciated the positive outcomes of Vietnam–Russia cooperation in recent years, especially in the field of defense cooperation. He expressed his hope that, beyond maintaining strong ties between the two countries and their defense ministries, military press agencies of both sides would further strengthen cooperation in the future.
On this occasion, Colonel Belosludtsev Sergey Vladimirovich introduced his novel titled “The Trail,” which he authored himself. The novel features historical events and figures related to Vietnam. Presenting the book to the PAN, he expressed his hope that it would serve as a valuable reference material for research and further study of a period closely associated with the shared and glorious history of the two nations.

During the working session, the two sides also discussed future cooperation orientations between the PAN and the Office of the Russian Defense Attaché in Vietnam, including coordination and mutual support in information dissemination and public communication, contributing to further promoting the traditional friendship and cooperation between the two countries and their armed forces.
Senior Colonel Nguyen Hong Hai expressed his hope that the Russian side would support and provide additional information and materials related to seven Vietnamese soldiers who once served in the Soviet Red Army, to assist Vietnam in producing a documentary film about these historical figures.

He affirmed that the PAN greatly values the sentiments and goodwill that the Russian side has shown toward Vietnam, and pledged that the PAN would introduce and promote the novel “The Trail” across its publications.
On this occasion, Senior Colonel Nguyen Hong Hai also introduced the Vietnamese–Russian bilingual book “Russia in My Heart” and presented copies of this meaningful publication to Colonel Belosludtsev Sergey Vladimirovich and Major Rusyaev Dmitril.
