Reports at the conference showed that the Vietnam Defense Expo was successfully held in 2022 and 2024, with continuous improvements in scale and quality, drawing great attention from domestic and international public opinion. The event is a clear testament to Vietnam’s defense foreign policy of independence, self-reliance, multilateralization, and diversification. It also affirms the development of the Vietnam People’s Army and the prestige of the national defense industry.

The third edition is expected to have a larger scale and cover more fields, combining various activities such as product displays, seminars, exercises, field demonstrations, and business matching. The event carries profound political and foreign affairs significance as it coincides with the 82nd anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam People’s Army.

Concluding the conference, Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Truong Thang acknowledged the high sense of responsibility of agencies and units in the preparation work.

The Deputy Minister of National Defense requested the General Department of Defense Industry to continue closely coordinating with relevant units, review and perfect the project in a strict and realistic manner, and complete it in March 2026 to roll out activities from April 2026.

Emphasizing the special significance of the Vietnam Defense Expo, Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Truong Thang affirmed that the event is not only an important defense foreign affairs activity but also a milestone reflecting the country’s prestige, organizational capacity, and integration stature. Therefore, preparations must be carried out early, comprehensively, thoughtfully, and respectfully in all aspects. In particular, absolute safety for personnel, vehicles, and equipment must be ensured before and during the expo.
