The delegation inspected the area of Mong Cai International Border Gate and Border Marker 1369(2), where major official activities will take place, including the welcoming and farewell ceremonies for the two defense ministers and delegations, the friendship tree-planting ceremony, and the border marker salute.
They also examined the groundbreaking site for Hai Son Commune Medical Center, locations for welcoming the two ministers at Tran Phu High School and Tra Co Border Post, as well as the venue for bilateral talks and the official banquet.
Concluding the survey, Sr. Lt. Gen. Nguyen Truong Thang emphasized that the 10th Vietnam - China Border Defense Friendship Exchange holds significant importance in strengthening friendship and cooperation between the two militaries, border guard forces, local authorities, and people along the shared border, thereby contributing to maintaining a peaceful, stable, friendly and cooperative border for mutual development.

He commended relevant agencies, units and local authorities for their pro-active efforts despite tight timelines, and called for closer coordination throughout the preparation process. He also directed that pre-exchange activities such as free medical check-ups and medicine distribution for border residents be organized effectively and at appropriate time, and stressed the need to ensure construction quality and long-term efficiency of the Hai Son Commune Medical Center project.

At the meeting, Sr. Lt. Gen. Phung Si Tan underscored that all participating officers and soldiers, especially those directly involved in welcoming the two defense ministers, must strictly observe military protocol and discipline, demonstrating the professionalism and regularity of the Vietnam People's Army.
Representatives of participating units and Quang Ninh's leaders also discussed matters related to protocol, logistics, security and communications. A representative of the Naval Service noted that, within the exchange framework, naval vessels 015 and 012 will take part in the joint patrol and joint training departure ceremony in the Gulf of Tonkin with the People's Liberation Army Navy.
