The sea-phase drill took place in the waters east of Visakhapatnam city, India. The exercise featured 39 surface ships and three submarines from 16 countries, divided into three tactical groups and one support group. The ships maneuvered and executed contents according to the plan agreed upon during the harbor phase.

Ship 17 was part of Tactical Group 3, which consisted of 11 vessels: two from Sri Lanka, one from Seychelles, one from Maldives, one from Malaysia, one from Indonesia, one from Thailand, and three from the host country, India.

While maneuvering, Ship 17 participated in non-combat activities, including formation maneuvers, communications, message decoding, comprehensive exercise for navigation officers, replenishment at sea, and aerial photography formation.

Throughout the drill, the Vietnamese naval delegation closely coordinated with other forces, strictly followed the set plan, and successfully completed all contents, ensuring absolute safety for personnel and equipment.
