Public security force practices scenarios to safeguard upcoming National Party Congress
PANO - Forces of the Ministry of Public Security practiced security and public order protection scenarios in preparation for the 14th National Congress of the Communist Party of Vietnam at a kick-off ceremony and rehearsal held on January 10 in Hanoi.
The event opened with formal procedures, followed by a review of forces and a parade of vehicles. Participating units then carried out drills to handle simulated security scenarios. These activities demonstrated the level of training, coordination, and readiness of the forces assigned to safeguard security and public order for the congress.
The 14th National Party Congress is a major political event of special significance to the Party, the State, and the people. As such, ensuring absolute safety and security for the congress has been identified as a task of the highest priority by the Ministry of Public Security. The rehearsal was aimed at improving the capacity to assess, analyze, and forecast potential situations, thereby developing operational plans that are closely aligned with reality and clearly identifying key areas and targets requiring protection.
The event also provided an opportunity to comprehensively review equipment, technical systems, and supporting tools, ensuring the highest level of readiness under all circumstances, while strengthening coordination and joint operations among participating forces.
In his directive remarks, Head of the Sub-committee for Organizational and Service Affairs of the 14th National Party Congress Tran Cam Tu acknowledged and praised the efforts made by the public security forces in preparing for the protection of the congress. He noted that the security and public order situation may continue to face complex developments and potential risks in the time ahead, and the force must continue to uphold its core role, closely coordinate with the Vietnam People’s Army, strengthen measures to safeguard political security and social order, maintain discipline, stay closely connected to local areas, prevent acts of sabotage or disturbance, and mobilize the combined strength of the people and authorities at all levels to ensure the successful organization of this important political event.
