Refresher courses for Lao cadres concluded
PANO – A ceremony to conclude a training course on printing techniques for cadres from the Army Publishing House of the Lao People’s Army was held on September 26 at Unit 871 of the General Department of Politics of the Vietnam People’s Army.
Addressing the closing ceremony, Major General Nguyen Van Tin, Deputy Director of the Department of Information and Training of the General Department of Politics, highlighted lecturers’ responsibility and creativeness in developing training contents and effective teaching methods to provide the most useful knowledge to cadres in the Lao military’s printing sector. He also spoke highly of the efforts that have been made by the Lao cadres in studying.

General Tin said that the training course will contribute to raising the quality and effectiveness of printing in the Laos People’s Army, thus meeting the demand of Lao cadres to have quality printing products.
He emphasized that the Department of Information and Training hoped the Vietnamese and Lao Army Publishing Houses will hold activities to share experiences in printing techniques and production management skills in the coming time.
* On the same day, the refresher course on youth affairs for cadres of the Laos People’s Army concluded. At the ceremony, Colonel Tran Viet Nang, Head of the Army Youth Board of the General Department of Politics, evaluated that the training course ended successfully while meeting all of the set targets. He said that the course equipped Lao officers with a general knowledge of youth affairs as well as methods to effectively organize youth activities.

During the 20-day course, 20 Lao cadres studied basic knowledge and skills in organizing youth activities in military units. They also studied Marxism-Leninism and Ho Chi Minh’s thoughts and Vietnam Communist Party’s guidelines on youth affairs. Additionally, they visited Vietnamese military units’ exemplary models and shared experiences in the work with Vietnamese peers. The Lao officers promoted solidarity and their responsibility in studying, contributing to the success of the course.
At the event, a representative for the Lao officers emphasized the significance of the course, saying that it helped them understand Vietnam’s concern for c strengthening youth organizations. He promised to apply knowledge and skills acquired from the course to their tasks in the future.
