Certificates presented to the trainees

During the nearly one-month course, 20 Lao trainees were provided with updates on the socio-economic situation of Ha Tinh province, general knowledge on national border, time-honored relations between Vietnam and Laos, and between Ha Tinh and Bolikhamxay provinces, traditions of the Ha Tinh armed forces, key aspects of the two-tier local government model, Vietnamese Party and State’s foreign policy, and the outcome of the joint efforts to search for and repatriate remains of fallen Vietnamese volunteer soldiers and advisors during wars in Laos. They also studied infantry combat fortifications, camouflage works, countermeasures against unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), and practiced AK shooting.

In addition, they visited historical sites and economic zones in Ha Tinh province, and engaged in cultural, artistic, and sport exchanges, thereby strengthening the special friendship and solidarity between Vietnam and Laos.

Thanks to thorough preparations, the course was successful, with 100% of participants meeting requirements, over 75% achieving flying colors.

At the closing ceremony, the organizers awarded certificates to all trainees, while five officers received commendations for outstanding performance.

Speaking at the ceremony, Senior Colonel Mai Ngoc Viet, Deputy Political Commissar of the Ha Tinh Provincial Military Command, congratulated Lao officers on successfully completing the course. He expressed his hope that they would apply the acquired knowledge flexibly and effectively to their future duties, helping deepen the special friendship and solidarity between the two countries and the two militaries.
