New Zealand supports level-two field hospital
PANO – A delegation of the Embassy of New Zealand in Vietnam led by Ambassador Wendy Matthews on December 4 worked with Military Hospital 175 of the Ministry of National Defense.

During the working visit, the mission observed an English training session of the level-two field hospital’s staff lectured by instructors from New Zealand under an agreement reached by the two countries.
Ambassador Wendy Matthews spoke highly of cooperation activities between Vietnam and New Zealand, especially in training English to officers of Vietnam's UN peacekeeping force. Accordingly, Vietnamese trainees have shown their good English capabilities.
Also at the event, the Embassy of New Zealand in Vietnam committed to doing their best to enhance more cooperation programs, making contribution to deepening the bilateral relations.
For his part, Major General Nguyen Hong Son, Director of Military Hospital 175, briefed the delegation on the ongoing preparations for the level-two field hospital to be ready for deployment to the United Nations Mission in South Sudan (UNMISS) next year.
He also expressed his gratitude to the support of New Zealand in English training for Vietnam peacekeeping force and sharing valuable experiences to help Vietnam actively conduct international missions in the time to come.
