Colonel Xiao Jun expressed his pleasure at joining hands with the Vietnam People’s Army’s military medical force in implementing this meaningful humanitarian program.

According to Colonel Xiao Jun, the provision of free medical services for border residents was vivid evidence of concretizing the shared understanding between the two countries on building a Vietnam - China community with a shared future of strategic significance. It also represented a practical step toward further deepening cooperation and friendly exchanges between the two militaries.

For this program, the Chinese side selected highly qualified doctors and medical staff, bringing modern equipment and working in close coordination with their Vietnamese counterparts to conduct examinations, consultations, diagnoses, and treatment of common diseases. They also provided health education and in-depth consultation for more complex conditions, contributing to improving healthcare quality for people in border areas.

Following the opening ceremony, the joint military medical team conducted medical examinations for local residents at the Vietnam - China Friendship Cultural House. The clinical examination area was organized with general and specialized consultation tables, where doctors carried out general check-ups, assessed health conditions, and provided guidance on disease prevention and appropriate treatment for each individual.

In addition, paraclinical services were arranged with specialized stations, including X-ray, ultrasound, electrocardiogram (ECG), and basic hematology–biochemistry testing. Diagnostic imaging and laboratory tests were conducted based on clinical indications to ensure accurate and timely diagnosis. After completing the examinations, residents received medical advice, free medicines, and instructions on proper medicine use.
