The military medical team consists of 30 personnel, including 9 officers and 21 non-commissioned officers selected from Military Hospital 103, Military Hospital 354, and Military Hospital 105. The team is fully equipped with medical equipment, pharmaceuticals, and specialized medical supplies, and is prepared to carry out its assigned mission.

Addressing the ceremony, General Thien emphasized that the deployment of the VPA to support earthquake relief efforts in Venezuela not only reflects the Communist Party of Vietnam's foreign policy of independence, self-reliance, peace, cooperation, and development, but also demonstrates Vietnam's responsibility to the international community, contributing to further enhancing the status and prestige of the country and the military in the international arena.

He stressed that being selected to join the military medical team for the mission in Venezuela is both a great honor and a significant responsibility entrusted by the Party, the State, and the military. He described the deployment as a special mission that will be carried out under difficult and potentially hazardous conditions, requiring every officer and service member to demonstrate the highest levels of political stance, professional competence, responsibility, and determination to overcome challenges in order to accomplish the mission.

Recalling the successful international humanitarian deployments of the VPA in Turkey and Myanmar, General Thien expressed confidence that the military medical team would continue to uphold the military's proud traditions while demonstrating solidarity, initiative, creativity, and resilience in overcoming all challenges. He said the team's efforts would help further promote the noble image of Uncle Ho’s soldiers and showcase Vietnam's sentiment and responsibility toward the international community.

By the afternoon of June 28, all relief supplies had been received by Brigade 971 and transported to Noi Bai International Airport for handover and loading in accordance with the deployment plan, ready to accompany the contingent on its international humanitarian mission to Venezuela.
