Before touring the indoor exhibition space, General Khamliang Outhakaysone and members of the delegation laid flowers and listened to an introduction about the Viet Nam - Laos Friendship and Solidarity Statue Cluster at the museum.

The statue cluster symbolizes the fighting solidarity between the peoples of Viet Nam and Laos during the resistance war against the American imperialists. Despite the hardships of war, the two countries worked together to open and maintain the Truong Son Trail, transporting weapons and food supplies to support the battlefield in southern Viet Nam.
