The delegation of young officers from the Viet Nam People’s Army visits the Singaporean Ministry of Defense.

The annual program contributes to fostering friendship, mutual understanding, and trust between young officers of the two militaries.

At the Singaporean Ministry of Defense, the Vietnamese delegation was briefed on Singapore’s defense policy, armed forces, and their development vision toward 2040. The two sides exchanged experience and discussed similarities and differences in training, while sharing views on the role of young officers in military building and enhancing mutual understanding.

The delegation also visited the Multi-Mission Range Complex (MMRC), a key facility in the Singapore Armed Forces’ efforts to modernize training. The facility supports all-weather training and can simulate day and night conditions as well as various operational scenarios. It incorporates computer-generated targets to support target acquisition, differentiation, and handling, while enabling training results to be assessed digitally.

The MMRC can support shooting tests for about 900 military personnel a day, helping optimize training resources and save time, manpower, and training space.
