At the meeting, Deputy Director of the Academy Senior Colonel, Dr. Le Cong Thanh briefed the delegation on the Academy’s outstanding achievements in education, training, management and development of Lao cadets in recent years. He emphasized that the Party Committee and Board of Administrators of the Academy have always regarded the training of international cadets, particularly those from Laos, as both an important political task and a demonstration of the responsibility and sentiment of the Academy’s cadres, instructors and cadets toward Laos.

An overview of the working session |
According to the official, the school has regularly paid close attention to and facilitated the study, daily life and training of Lao cadets. It has also focused on enhancing their professional knowledge, political steadfastness, observance of State law and military discipline, and professional conduct. Notably, many Lao graduates have become key cadres, making significant contributions to the development of the air defense-air force of the Lao People's Army.

In his speech, Colonel Viengxay Soulivong expressed his sincere appreciation for the dedicated and responsible support provided by the Academy to Lao cadets over the years. He affirmed that the Academy’s training achievements have importantly contributed to improving the quality of human resources, meeting the requirements of building an increasingly capable and modern air defense-air force of the Lao People's Army.

During the working session, the two sides discussed measures to further enhance the quality of education and training for Lao cadets, while strengthening coordination in managing and monitoring their academic performance and training. These efforts will contribute to consolidating the special solidarity and comprehensive cooperation between Vietnam and Laos and between their militaries.
Following the working session, Colonel Viengxay Soulivong visited and inquired after Lao cadets.
The visit aimed to boost the friendship and special solidarity between the two militaries and also reaffirmed the Vietnamese academy’s role in training high-quality military personnel for the armed forces of traditional friendly countries.
