Vietnamese young officers learn and gain hands-on experience in India
PANO - On October 22, as part of the 2026 Viet Nam-India Young Officers Exchange Program taking place in Pune, India, the delegation of young officers from the Viet Nam People’s Army visited the Mechanized Infantry Center and School (MIC&S) and the School of Armored Warfare (SAW).
The VPA delegation was led by Senior Captain Le Hao, Deputy Head of the Military Youth Advisory Board under the General Department of Political Affairs.
At the two institutions, the delegation received briefings on their organizational structures, training and education functions, officer training programs, and the specific missions of their respective forces. The officers also toured the facilities and observed training activities.
During the meetings with the host institutions' leaders and chains-of-command, Senior Captain Le Hao noted that Viet Nam and India had organized many young officers' exchange programs over the years, with each exchange helping deepen mutual understanding. Young officers from both countries serve as a core force and an important bridge in strengthening bilateral friendship and promoting increasingly sustainable cooperation and mutual trust between the two countries, as well as between young officers of the two militaries.
Highlighting the purpose and significance of this year's exchange program, Senior Captain Le Hao emphasized that it provided participants with opportunities to gain hands-on experience, engage in cultural exchanges, and share knowledge and expertise in military training and education. These experiences would serve as valuable lessons for the young officers to study and apply in their future assignments.
